My Grass Farm Upgrade Tier List
A Cash spending order for blades, silo, rolls, and luck so the farm compounds.
Upgrades are where My Grass Farm players either compound or stall. Community tools expose five named families: Cut Speed, Silo Rate, Rolls, Pure Luck, and Mutation Luck. Land expansion is a sixth sink even if it sits in another menu. This list ranks them for a released Roblox tycoon, not for a theory sandbox.
Use it with the upgrade planner and make money fast. Workers have their own ranks on the worker tier list.
S tier — buy these when in doubt
Cut Speed is S. The starter blade is the tutorial. Every later system assumes you can empty a bed. Official before-and-after art even contrasts a basic blue scythe with a glowing rainbow blade; you get there by ranking speed, not by wishing.
Silo Rate is S as soon as hay waits. Fast cuts into a slow silo is fake progress. If you return from offline to a mountain of unprocessed hay, this was the missing purchase.
A tier — after the loop exists
Land / plot expansion is A. It multiplies workers and grass types only if those workers already work. Read how to expand your farm before you click. Empty land is a C-tier feeling with an A-tier price.
Another Farmer is A as an upgrade-like spend. It is not in the five-name list, but it belongs in the same Cash conversation. See hire workers.
B tier — luck after you can miss
Rolls are attempts at better grass. They are B because they compete with S-tier speed. Buy them when a failed roll does not cancel tomorrow’s Cut Speed.
Pure Luck is B for the same reason. It supports the rare grass hunt and the grass type list. It does not pay the silo.
C tier — chase currency
Mutation Luck is C for beginners and B for collectors. It is the shop most aligned with rainbow promo art. If your Cash bar is small, this is how you own a story instead of a farm.
Suggested purchase waves
Wave 1: Cut Speed until swings feel human, plus codes from the codes hub. Wave 2: Silo Rate and a real worker presence. Wave 3: Land if the fence is busy. Wave 4: Rolls and Pure Luck in small packets. Wave 5: Mutation Luck when you are playing for chroma.
Scripts with Auto Buy Upgrades will ignore waves unless you cap them. Turn off luck toggles until wave 4. Details on auto farm.
Blade cosmetics versus blade ranks
A rainbow scythe in art is a destination. The shop path is ranks. Do not wait to cut until it looks legendary. Green grass plus high Cut Speed still prints. Pair with Getting Started if you are frozen in the shop.
Patches
If One More Grass retunes costs, patch notes will say what we can verify. Until then, this order holds: speed, convert, space, lottery.
Return to the tier list hub for workers and grass. If you only remember one line, remember Cut Speed is not optional.
Feeling a rank instead of reading it
Buy one Cut Speed, swing twenty times, then buy one luck rank if you insist, and swing twenty more. The blade test is obvious. The luck test is noisy. That is why luck sits lower. If a future patch makes luck obviously stronger in those twenty swings, we will move it. Until the shop proves it, speed stays S.
Land as a maybe
If workers finish the small bed before you return, land moves up. If they never finish it, land moves down. The rank is A because it depends on the crew you already hired from the worker tier list.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common farm questions.
What upgrade should I buy first in My Grass Farm?
Cut Speed, then Silo Rate if hay piles up. Follow the upgrade planner.
Are luck upgrades bad?
They are late. Use them for rare grass after the farm can survive a dry roll.
Is expanding land an upgrade?
It spends Cash like one. Rank it after speed and workers. See expand farm.
Should auto-upgrade buy everything?
No. Disable luck until income is stable. Read script safety if you use automation.
