Those images are real marketing for the experience. They are not a promise that your second session will look like that. This guide separates gifts you can claim today from luck shops you should open later.

The guaranteed-ish path: MERCHANT

The MERCHANT code grants a new Grass Type. Community roundups in August 2026 often name it Gold Grass. Redeem it through how to redeem codes while it still works. That is the only rare-adjacent unlock that does not ask you to roll. Pair it with RELEASE so Pirate Farmers cut the better turf while you are away—see hire workers.

When MERCHANT eventually expires, it will move to expired codes. Do not wait for a perfect moment.

What Rolls, Pure Luck, and Mutation Luck are for

Community auto-upgrade lists expose five upgrade families: Cut Speed, Silo Rate, Rolls, Pure Luck, and Mutation Luck. The last three are how the game lets you push toward unusual grass instead of only greener tiles.

• Rolls are attempts. More rolls means more chances to see a non-starter type.
• Pure Luck is the generic luck lever. Raise it when you can afford dry spells.
• Mutation Luck points at variants and weird colors, including the rainbow chase in the store art.

We do not publish a fake percent table. Official UI will show whatever the current build shows. If a YouTuber yells 1 in 1,000,000, treat it as promo language unless the shop prints that number.

How to hunt without going broke

Set a Cash floor. If luck purchases would drop you below a worker’s next restock or a Cut Speed rank you still need, walk away. Make money fast exists so you can fail a roll and still pay the crew.

Hunt in short bursts. Roll, cut the result, process hay, then decide if the new type is actually worth keeping on the plot. A pretty clump that processes slowly can lose to boring green with a fast blade.

Rainbow grass is a chase, not a checklist

The hero art of a shocked avatar holding rainbow grass is official media. It tells you ultra-rare turf exists. It does not tell you the click path. Watch the embedded session on this page for a real hunt, then compare types on the grass type tier list. If you never see rainbow, your farm can still be rich. Leaderboard clips prove income is not only chroma.

Merchant updates change the shop

When One More Grass ships merchant-themed content, new types can enter the pool. Read the Merchant update and patch notes. Discord remains the announcement channel; there is no Trello. The links hub keeps those doors in one place.

After you unlock something better

Put workers on it. A rare type on an idle plot is a screenshot. A rare type with Pirate Farmers and a decent Silo Rate is a business. Then consider expanding the farm so the new turf has room to respawn.

If luck feels cursed, stop rolling for a day and buy speed. Rare grass will still be there when your Cash bar can survive a miss.

Keeping a written floor

Write your Cash floor on paper or in a notes app: the next Cut Speed price plus one Silo Rate. Luck spending has to stay above that line. If a roll would break the line, the hunt is over for the night. That rule keeps make money fast and rainbow chasing from fighting. Tomorrow the floor can move. Tonight the farm still has to pay the Pirates.
